Hola Amigos!

After three weeks of intermittant internet access on the cruise, I'm back in Barcelona, and back in Blogland!  I've missed you all!  I promise to catch everyone up on the past three weeks, with seperate posts for each week, as well as a post for the hopeless animal lovers among you, but for now, I thought I'd start with a few candid shots from my travels (mainly because I only have lobby internet access right now, and am too sleepy to go get my diary, so I can remind myself where I was on which day).  The others I will post over the course of the next week.  So, without further ado: Candid Kate!

Ado (sorry, I know I promised): Can someone please share these with Nan, and also let her know I'm alive, happy and nowhere near the riots in London?  Thanks!

Oh, and a caveat:  These are the only photos of me on my camera.  Irene has many more of me on hers, which I will add, I promise...as soon as I get them from her!  Or, you can check out facebook...she's sitting across the table from me madly adding pictures of our adventures to Facebook...she usually tags me, so check out my wall if you want to see them.

Holding my Cable Car pass in Funchal, Madeira...I convinced Irene to take the plunge, so to speak, and ride up with me!

Gorgeous old fort in Malaga, Spain...begins with an A...I will update this when I remember!

At the Forum, Rome (Irene's got the pic of me at the Trevi Fountain)

Irene and I atop the Acropolis, Athens (I look like I am wearing laurels...it's actually an strategically and accidentally-placed tree)

Toasting my Mama with retsina on the Placa, Athens

There may also be a plate of calamari and tzatsiki in front of me, that will make an appearance later
That's all from me for now folks!  I miss you all, and promise I'll add some pictures of interesting places soon!  Oh and Cuz...you seem to be even more weeks behind than me.  Hint hint hint.

Quick post without photos today. Checking out of our hotel in Barcelona and heading to the dock! Irene has been posting photos like mad on facebook if you want to see what it's like. Not sure when I will have Internet again but will blog when I do!

End of Days...in Omagh

This, my extremely late weekly entry (so late, I'll have to post another in just three short days) is my last one from my temporary home in Omagh...at least for now.  I`ve promised to come back and visit everyone, so fear not, gentle readers--you'll be seeing even more photos of livestock and folk park before too long, I'm sure. But for now...I'm leaving...on a bus (scans much worse than airplane, doesn't it?).  I'm heading for Dublin to meet up with my partner in crime...err...Irene...and then off to sunny Spain to begin three weeks of cruiseship life.

This has been a bit of a hectic week, with a goodbye lunch with new friends:

(They had cake for me at the Centre for Migration Studies too...but I don't have pictures of that)

One last ramble around my daily walking route at the Ulster American Folk Park:

(Photos of flowers just for you, Mama)

Laundry Day:

Packing:

(Johanne's Thank-You gift seems to have snuck into this photo)

and one last epic battle with the vaccuum:

I may also have spent a large part of the week trying to finish a fabulous novel Johanne lent me:

(Word to the wise:  It's not good to obsessively read an enthralling novel about vampires at bedtime)

So that's it from me here!  Thanks so much to everyone who has made the past few months so wonderful!  I can't wait to come back again, and brag to you all about the joys of the Mediterranean!

And for those of you following at home: I'll post again from Barcelona on Sunday, where hopefully Irene and I will be getting ready to check out of our hotel and board our cruise ship.  I say hopefully, because as I type, Irene is in flight limbo, delayed in Texas and in danger of missing connecting flights.  Let's keep our fingers crossed for her, shall we?

P.S.  For the first time, spellcheck found NO errors in my entry!  Woohoo!
